Description
So glad you looked us up. I’m Susan Stark, the proprietor of Goin’ Postal Westhaven since September, 2019.
The store’s motto is “LOCALLY OWNED. COMMITTED TO OUR COMMUNITY”. That comes from my family’s strong roots here and a deep belief that one must make a positive impact upon our community. It also means we are committed to providing excellent service every day. The most important component of any business is customer service. Therefore high standards have been set and we strive every day to meet them.
It’s been a joy getting to know our wonderful customers. The store is often thought of as a local gathering spot where a friendly chat is always welcomed.
Since purchasing the store, many services have been added based on our customers’ requests and needs. Goin' Postal Westhaven's goal is to be as helpful and convenient as possible, always offering you your best option based on your needs.
The store contributes to the community by hosting events and collecting funds to support local charities and organizations. We hope you’ll join us in those efforts. To say thank you, cookies and lemonade or hot chocolate are often served. Come and enjoy!
My three sons and I have been proud to call Franklin and the Cottonwood neighborhood home since 1994. We lived in Bellevue and East Nashville before moving to Williamson County. Having volunteered at local schools, local and neighborhood organizations, and sports clubs the boys learned volunteerism through example, in the Boy Scouts and through their religious education.
As boys, Eli, Samuel and Jacob attended Walnut Grove Elementary, Grassland Middle and Franklin High School. They each went on to attend and graduate from state universities, each also obtaining a postgraduate degree. (I’m a very proud mother.)
All this strengthened our connection and commitment to our neighbors in Franklin.
Before purchasing the store, I owned and managed a wholesale food distribution company serving Middle Tennessee for 33 years which catered to high-end restaurants, hotels, caterers and country clubs. During that time, and with my experience working retail stores in my youth, I learned that excellent customer service is paramount.
Please stop by anytime, even to just say howdy or to get treats for your children and pet pooch! It will be a delight to meet you. Plenty of free parking in the large lot shared with Kroger.
